Four Oaks Trade Show is the UK’s premier show for ornamental horticulture, and now in its 43rd year. The glasshouse venue has a relaxed and informal atmosphere well suited to the event and the industry. It is cost-effective and user friendly with none of the restrictions of the purpose built exhibition halls.
Plants are the most prominent feature of the show, accounting for over 50% of exhibiting companies, with associated supplies and services from production to point-of-sale. Exhibits will include a wide range of glasshouse equipment and machinery from seeders and handling equipment to fully automated transplanting systems.
Overseas exhibitor numbers last year exceeded 30% of the total. The visitor profile which is truly international, includes commercial growers, garden centres and retailers, farm shops, local authorities, landscapers, garden designers and florists. The show is a combination of business and social activity, but above all it is a buyers show, which is particularly attractive to the grower retailer and the independent garden centres.
The site currently offers 17,000 m² of covered exhibition space all on concrete floors. Operating on our own site, we are able to offer exhibitors a level of flexibility and service that cannot be matched elsewhere. Unrestricted access during the week prior to the show, with free handling and free secure storage before and after the show, relieves the pressure of the September show circuit. Deliveries will be accepted 24 hours from the Friday onwards. On show days, beverages and packed lunches are served to the stands and are free of charge. The first day will close with an exhibitors’ Supper, also free of charge. It is all part of a service that makes this show unique.
The cost of exhibiting is modest, with no hidden extras. Outside plots are also available which add an extra dimension to the site and offer a cost-effective option to companies who by the nature of their product need a larger site.
The publishing contract for the official exhibition guide and trade directory has again been awarded to Horticulture Week who are sponsors of the show. This will guarantee a pre-show circulation of 22,000. A Spring newsletter is also published by the Organisers in April with a circulation 20,000.
To discuss stand availability or any other aspect of the show, please call me at any time. Copies of the Exhibition Guide and Trade Directory 2012 are available on request and are free of charge.
