We are pleased to be supporting once again Four Oaks Trade Show now in its 40th Year.
This year, Boiler Spares will be exhibiting a full range of Oil and Gas fired heaters along with control systems to suit most applications. Batouwe Nurseries specializes in growing and making young plants and trees.We offer a wide range of cuttings, p9 liners and grafted young trees in containers and also bare root.
For our p9 liners we use an 18 hole mulitray, which is very easy to use. We prune all the p9 liners before Christmas, so the plants will bush out well the following spring when you are ready for potting on. The plant will not suffer ‘pruning shock’ when the p9 is potted, so it will root out straight away. It will also save handling – put the multitray at the potting machine and pot straight into your 2 or 3 litre pot.
The cuttings are offered in 3 sizes, a 104 hole multitray (3.0/4.0 cm diameter), a 66 hole multitray (4.5/5.0 cm diameter) and a 40 hole multitray (6.5/7.0 cm diamter). We offer a wide range of over 500 varieties of cuttings.
We also offer whips and grafts in containers from p9 liners up to 10 litre containers, useful for those who want to plant before their busy season starts. The tree can root out before the winter and when spring comes it will grow straight away without watering. You will not have any losses, and the first years growth is superb. The sizes of the whips are from 40/60 up to 200/250. |

This Variety comes from the same stable as the well known and successful “Black Beauty” and “Black Lace” and was a cross made in the same period. Only 2 varieties were selected by the joint HDC and trade working party for commercialisation, the rest were due to be cut down and destroyed...nearly the end of the story!
Fortunately, we were able to obtain a few cuttings of this 1 remaining seedling, which were of a strong fastigiate. After 3 years of trials, hard winters, hot summers and production trials by Seiont and ALP members and also in Gallicia, Northern Spain, “Black Tower” was selected.
Everyone is surprised that “Black Tower” is so flexible in production. Liners can be manipulated to have just a single pinch to produce a full 3 litre product. Left untrimmed it will make a perfect column.
Outdoor colour is a superb, deepest black/green glossy foliage on stiff upright stems and the plant is furnished to the base. Flower buds are a bit smaller than the form and open to flat panicles which are more pink than white with a good number of flowing points at a young age. To date “Black Tower” is completely disease free.
A full liner offer is being prepared by Seiont and ALP members for Spring 2011.

Only a few of nature’s flora have been cultivated. Up to now most of these miraculous
plants are unknown to the market and many of them have become extinct. Plant Planet

The Hamilton Hand Operated Natural Seeder (TSC200) – This entry-level model utilizes the same precision seeder used on some of the more expensive seeding lines, but is fitted with a hand operated mechanism to step plug trays line-by-line under the seeder.
The Hamilton T.E.A. XP600M series transplanter - is a radical new development of the XP series of tranplanters, highly user friendly and designed for all sizes of greenhouse. Each head is independently controlled by a sophisticated, but easy to use computer. It can be constructed with 3 to 8 heads, resulting in the ideal setup for your operation. A four head machine can transplant at a rate of 6500+ plants per hour, depending on the application, rising to nearly 10000 plants per hour for a six head machine.
The Award Winning Hamilton TEA RAP-XRL is a self-contained trimming machine for plants in pots, particularly nursery stock. Pots are loaded onto the entry conveyor, and are automatically fed onto the cutter conveyor at the optimum spacing. They then pass under the cutter deck, where the pots are clamped, and the plants are trimmed by the cutter, which rotates around the foliage. The foliage diameter can be adjusted between 120 and 360mm. The automatic potholders accommodate pots from 9cm to 28cm diameter.
