Mobilane exhibits unique living wall systems for 3rd year at #fots2023
“After last year’s success with our new MobiPanel living wall system, we’ve chosen to exhibit again at the 2023 Four Oaks Trade Show. We had a lot of interest in our unique modular living wall system. Its interchangeable plant cassettes in two sizes, makes it possible to give a sustainable and vibrant appearance to both flat and curved walls. This year we will show a new species of our ready-made Mobilane Green Screen: Elaeagnus ebbingei, also known as Oleaster or Silverberry.” Alexander Ilsink, CEO. Mobilane will exhibit on a new stand location at #fots2023 – E123 + E124.
Ready-made hedges offer instant privacy
Mobilane Green screens are an instant green hedging screen, which can be installed with the ease of a fence, to create a natural, green setting. Once the Mobilane Green Screen is installed, the biodegradable coconut planter completely degrades within one or two years, allowing the plant root systems to fully bed into the local soil and ecology. Whether in smaller private spaces such as gardens, or in larger scale developments in the public realm, green screens offer instant privacy and nature-inspired impact. The benefits of using a green screen in place of a fence are extensive.
Green Screens contribute to biodiversity
Living plants contribute to biodiversity, which – due to new policy being rolled out in the UK this November – is of increasing importance to local authorities, developers, and specifiers. With plant life comes animal life too, and green screens can indeed provide a welcome habitat for insects and birds, helping to support the wider ecosystems and food chains that we all depend on. From primary schools and commercial buildings to gardens, new housing developments and infrastructure projects, the adaptability of the Mobilane Green Screen – in terms of plant species, height, and structural material – always makes them a success.
New Green Screen
The new Elaeagnus ebbingei is evergreen and has large, oval leaves with beautiful shades of green and silver grey. This creates a modern look. In addition, it produces wonderfully fragrant flowers. Despite the fact that Elaeagnus is derived from the Greek word elaia, meaning olive, the oleaster does not produce olives, but a type of berry. Elaeagnus ebbingei is a strong shrub that, in addition to being resistant to wind and salt, can also cope well with air pollution and even traps fine dust.
The new Elaeagnus Green Screen is available in 120 x 155 (w x h). In addition to Green Screens with Elaeagnus, Mobilane also has hedges with various species of Hedera (Ivy), Carpinus betulus (Hornbeam), Eonymus (Spindle), Trachelospermum jasminoides (Star Jasmine) and Pyracantha ‘Darts Red’ (Firethorn).
